What is MyClearStep?
MyClearStep is a HIPAA-compliant, numberless smart scale and health monitoring tool that helps support your care at home. Designed specifically for use in eating disorder treatment, it allows clients to step on the scale without seeing triggering numbers or data. All health information is securely transmitted to your treatment team, so your provider can monitor your progress and make informed clinical decisions.
At Sinnergy Wellness Group, we use MyClearStep as part of our comprehensive outpatient treatment model. It allows us to offer the same level of clinical oversight clients would receive in higher levels of care, while reducing the need for stressful in-person weigh-ins. With MyClearStep, you can participate fully in your recovery from the comfort of your home.

At Sinnergy Wellness Group, we know that traditional weigh-ins can be one of the most stressful parts of eating disorder treatment. MyClearStep helps change that experience.
This numberless smart scale allows you to check in from the comfort of home without seeing weight numbers that can trigger anxiety. Instead, your health data is securely transmitted to your provider, where it can be used to guide your treatment in a safe, supportive way.
How it works:
You will use a MyClearStep scale at home or in our office. When you step on the scale, no numbers are displayed to you, helping remove the emotional burden often tied to weigh-ins.
By default, I am the one who sees it.
Admin access can be granted to other people at your request. A parent or caregiver — MyClearStep sells a bundle that includes this. A partner. Another provider on your team, if it would help them do their part. Access is set up deliberately, by request, and it can be changed or removed later.
Optional devices, such as blood pressure monitors and thermometers, can also be used to provide a more complete picture of your health.

Blood pressure
The MyClearStep monitor measures both resting and orthostatic readings — the change between lying and standing — which is one of the more useful things your physician can see between appointments. It comes in adult and adolescent versions.
Orthostatic readings are also numberless on your side. You take them; I read them.
Temperature
The MyClearStep Smart Thermometer is contactless and sends readings the same way. Temperature is one of the quieter signals worth watching in some situations, and it is easy to take.
