Why We Built IIS – A New Standard in Eating Disorder Treatment

Why We Built IIS – A New Standard in Eating Disorder Treatment

When traditional care wasn’t enough, we built something better

At Sinnergy Wellness Group, we’ve spent decades helping people heal from eating disorders. Along the way, we’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and where too many people fall through the cracks. Time after time, clients and families came to us frustrated with treatment models that felt rigid, impersonal, and insurance-driven. They were told to follow a program that didn’t reflect their needs, and often left treatment feeling unheard and unsupported.

That’s why we created Individualized Intensive Services (IIS). It was built out of necessity. Because the system wasn’t serving everyone. Because we knew there was a better way to do this.

Built for People, Not for Paperwork

Traditional IOPs are often designed to meet insurance requirements. That means they offer set schedules, fixed lengths of care, and a narrow set of services. Clients show up when the program tells them to, even if the timing doesn’t work. They meet with a dietitian once a week, regardless of how much support they need. And they’re placed in groups, whether that feels safe and helpful or not.

IIS flips that model. Instead of asking you to fit into the system, we build the system around you.

What makes IIS different?

  • You choose the services you need
  • Appointments are scheduled around your life
  • You can work with experienced specialists in GI, trauma, sports nutrition, and more
  • Support can be in-person, virtual, or both
  • Family involvement and parent coaching are part of the process
  • Meal support and monitoring can happen daily, if needed

It’s not one-size-fits-all. It’s fully tailored care, designed with your whole life in mind.

We Saw What Was Missing

Clients often come to us after difficult experiences in residential care or IOPs. Some feel like they were just another number. Others say the system moved them along before they were ready. Many return home only to find that the structure they had in treatment disappears once real life kicks back in.

We wanted to change that. So we designed IIS to fill the gaps.

IIS keeps care rooted in your everyday reality. You don’t have to leave your life behind. You learn in real time, apply what you learn, and get feedback and support as you go. And instead of jumping from provider to provider, you work with a consistent team that knows you, communicates behind the scenes, and adjusts your plan as needed.

This Is What Personalized Care Looks Like

Creating IIS wasn’t about building a new product. It was about creating the kind of care we would want for our own families. One that respects your time, centers your goals, and gives you access to real experts who truly understand eating disorders and how to treat them.

We believe recovery should feel personal, not programmed. And we’re proud to offer a path that’s as unique as the people walking it.

If the system hasn’t worked for you, it’s not your fault.

IIS was built for people like you. And we’re here when you’re ready.
